When I decided to walk a section of the Cammino del Salento, I didnโt expect it to be such an intense experience. I wanted to walk, to disconnect, but I was also a bit nervous about doing it alone. Then I discovered Compagni di Viaggi and found two people, Marta and Luca, who were looking for someone for the same dates.
We met in Lecce on the first morning and it felt like weโd known each other forever. Between ancient olive groves, crystal-clear sea, and white villages, we walked for hours talking about everything: work, dreams, disappointments, the future. The effort of the path often turned into laughter whenever someone suggested yet another ice cream โto recharge our energy.โ
When we reached Santa Maria di Leuca at sunset, with the warm wind on our faces and the sea in front of us, we hugged like old friends.
That trip gave me much more than a holiday: it gave me two people who are now part of my life.
